Attach Your Car With MNCs and IT Companies
MNC, IT कंपनी और GCC में अपनी कार लगानी है? एम्प्लॉई कैब के नियम, सेफ्टी और प्रोसेस यहां समझें।
MNCs, IT and ITES companies and global capability centres (GCCs) move thousands of employees every day, and many run all night too. They want clean cabs with GPS and drivers who have been checked. Corporate employee transport in India is growing fast. Uber got into it in 2026. Below we explain how MNC cab work is set up, which safety rules you have to follow, and how to attach your car.

How MNC employee transport works
An MNC almost never hires cars one at a time. The work usually passes through three levels.
- The MNC or IT company sets the transport policy, the safety rules and the budget.
- Transport vendor or platform. This is who runs the employee transport service (ETS): routing, rosters, a command centre, billing and compliance. Some are software platforms with their own fleet. Others are regional fleet operators.
- Owner-drivers and fleet owners, who attach commercial cars with the vendor and drive the routes.
Software plans the routes from employee rosters. Shared cabs try to fill as many seats as they can. So how many trips you get in a day, and how long they are, depends on shift timings and on how many people come to office.
Why MNC cab work is attractive
- Work every working day. Many companies run 24×7.
- Monthly billing, based on GPS trip data and system logs.
- Vendors hold on to reliable owner-drivers for years.
- You can pick day, evening or night shifts. Night routes often pay extra.
- New GCCs keep opening in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi NCR and Mumbai, and each one adds demand for cabs.
Car and driver requirements for MNC work
| Requirement | What MNC vendors usually ask for |
|---|---|
| Registration & permit | Commercial (yellow or green) RC and taxi or contract carriage permit. White plate cars are not accepted |
| Car age & condition | Each company's policy decides. Vendors often prefer cars within about 5 years, with working AC and a clean inside |
| GPS & panic button | AIS-140 tracking device with emergency button, registered on VAHAN (mandatory for public service vehicles under CMVR Rule 125H) |
| Insurance | Commercial policy with passenger liability |
| Driver verification | Police clearance, usually not older than 12 months and renewed every year. Licence checked on Parivahan Sarathi |
| In-car safety | First-aid kit, emergency numbers on display, and CCTV where state rules or the client ask for it |
| Driver conduct | Uniform or dress code, no alcohol, use of the trip app, strict conduct rules |

Night shift and women safety rules
No part of MNC cab work has more rules than night transport for women employees. The rules are written for the employer. They still decide how your car and your driver have to work.
- The OSH Code, 2020. Section 43 lets women work at night with their consent. Rule 83 of the Central Rules, notified in May 2026, says the employer must give pickup and drop at the residence, with emergency numbers displayed inside the vehicles used.
- Under the POSH Act, 2013, "workplace" includes transport the employer provides. So in law, a company cab is part of the workplace.
What this means for you as a driver
State rules for night shift employee transport
| State | Transport conditions |
|---|---|
| Karnataka (Bengaluru) | Free home-office transport with security and GPS. No woman picked up first or dropped last. Security guards and a control room. Background checks on all drivers, outsourced ones too |
| Telangana (Hyderabad) | 8:30 pm–6 am: free transport with security and GPS. Guards when a woman is first pickup or last drop. Driver background screening, random vehicle checks, control room |
| Haryana (Gurugram) | 8 pm–6 am, notified May 2025: transport from residence and back, security guards including a female guard, trained drivers, CCTV and GPS. Tie-ups with outside transporters allowed |
| Delhi | 2025 notifications and the Delhi Shops and Establishments (Amendment) Act, 2026 allow night work with consent, CCTV, security and transport |
| Maharashtra (Mumbai, Pune) | Shops and Establishments Rules: safe, separate doorstep transport, police verification of workers, women guards where 10+ women work, helpline numbers on display |
These rules change often. Your vendor will tell you the exact rules for your client. For local details, see our Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai & Pune pages.
The shift to electric cabs
MNCs with sustainability goals are moving employee transport to electric cars. Lithium Urban Technologies, an EV operator, runs thousands of EVs for corporate clients. Large ETS platforms have added EV fleets of their own. In Delhi, the Motor Vehicle Aggregator and Delivery Service Provider Scheme, 2023 makes covered fleets switch new four-wheelers to electric in phases, reaching 100% by April 2030.
EV transport vehicles get green number plates and pay no All India Tourist Permit fee. They also cost little to run per km, which matters on long employee routes. Buying a car for MNC work? Ask the vendor whether its clients want EVs before you choose between EV and CNG.
How billing works in MNC transport
MNC transport pays as a fixed monthly package, per trip, per km, or some mix of these. What an owner gets depends on car type, kilometres and shifts, and fuel, EMI and other costs come out of it. Nobody can guarantee a figure.
Billing runs on data. Invoices are checked against GPS and trip logs for extra km, ghost trips and waiting time, so clean logs protect your pay.
- Hybrid work changes volumes. Fewer people in office means fewer trips. Ask how a fixed package handles low-attendance days.
- Expect penalties for late pickups, no-shows and safety violations.
MNC vs Indian company: what is different
| MNC / GCC | Indian private company | |
|---|---|---|
| How cars are hired | Through ETS vendors and platforms | Directly or through local vendors |
| Compliance checks | Formal audits, SLAs on on-time performance and safety | Differs a lot. Some are basic, some run MNC-style checks |
| Car age | Usually stricter | Usually more flexible |
| Night shifts | Common, with strict women safety rules | Less common |
| Technology | Routing apps, live GPS, command centres | Often duty slips and phone calls |
State night-shift rules and the OSH Code apply to Indian companies and MNCs alike. MNCs just audit them harder. If your car is older, or you only want day duty, see attaching with Indian companies.

Frequently asked questions
How can I attach my car with an MNC?
Not directly, in most cases. MNCs hand employee transport to transport vendors or platforms, and those vendors attach commercially registered cars from owner-drivers and fleet owners. Your car needs a commercial RC, permit, insurance, fitness, PUC and AIS-140 GPS, and your driver needs police verification. Attach Car connects you with these requirements in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune. WhatsApp +91-7065166337.
Do MNCs need cars for night shifts?
Yes. A lot of MNCs, IT and ITES companies and global capability centres run late and night shifts. When women employees travel at night the rules get strict: GPS, routes planned so a woman is not alone at the first pickup or last drop, security guards on some routes, and verified drivers.
What car model year do MNCs accept?
No law sets one limit. Each company's transport policy decides. Vendors often want cars no older than about 5 years, and premium or executive work may need a newer car. Ask the vendor before you commit.
Is police verification mandatory for MNC cab drivers?
In practice, yes. State night-shift rules ask for driver background checks, Maharashtra's rules ask for police verification, and transport platforms usually want a police clearance certificate renewed every year.
Do MNCs prefer electric cars?
Many MNCs with sustainability targets are adding electric cabs, and some EV fleet operators already serve large corporate clients. Petrol, diesel and CNG cars are still used a lot. EV demand in corporate transport is growing, though.
Is a company cab considered a workplace under the POSH Act?
Yes. The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013 counts transport provided by the employer for the journey as part of the workplace. Drivers on MNC routes have to follow strict conduct rules, and any complaint goes to the company's Internal Committee.
